Introduction to Lectio Divina

Lectio Divina means ‘Divine Reading’ and is a gentle way of praying using the Bible, where we take time to read a passage slowly, listen carefully, and notice what God might be saying to us through the words.

This form of prayer is a great way to engage and get to know your Bible more, and to engage with what God might be saying to you from the past today. It is a way of developing a closer relationship with God by reflecting prayerfully on His words and so encountering the living Word, Jesus Christ.
